CIM Course Proposal Review – Dan Faltesek, Heath Henry
-
One course in Baccalaureate Core Committee (BCC) queue. It has previously been reviewed by the committee.
-
Reviews are assigned by the co-chairs.
-
We are not expecting too many proposals this year with the upcoming changes to the Baccalaureate Core (BC).
-
If BC courses make changes, they will still need to be reviewed by the committee, so there may be a few coming through the committee in that way.
-
Learning Outcome (LO) changes will now be going through CIM.
Updates from Baccalaureate Core Director – McKenzie Huber
-
The BC Reform Proposal was approved at the October 13 Faculty Senate session.

-
Meet every couple of weeks and will report back to the Steering Committee.
-
Ideally 4-5 faculty for each category to develop Learning Outcomes
-
Total of 40-50 faculty needed to cover all the categories
-
Faculty can volunteer or nominate other faculty for the LOCR committee via a Qualtrics form.
-
Will nominated faculty have a chance to fill in the form?
-
There is a spot on the form to note that the nominated faculty member has been informed of the nomination.
-
Aiming for as broad and diverse a group as possible.
-
Encourage reaching out to the deans so that they’re aware of the process and ask that they encourage faculty to nominate others or to volunteer themselves.
